The ingredients and their arrangement stay the same; the result changes. You can repeat a recipe once you discover it. With the default settings, blaze powder and eyes of ender keep their normal recipes.

Tips for your Crafting Randomizer run

Remember useful recipes. Start with ingredients that are easy to get again.

01Try simple recipes first
Planks, sticks, slabs and buttons need little material. If one of these recipes gives you a useful item, you can repeat it often.
02Use your shared discovery journal
Use /discoveries to look up crafting results you have already discovered. Search for the output you need and mark useful recipes as personal favorites.Use the discovery journal
03Protect rare ingredients
Save diamonds and netherite. Try recipes with common ingredients first.
04Collect ingredients for useful recipes
Found a recipe for useful equipment? Gather its ingredients instead of continuing to craft at random.

Are all recipes and items randomized?

Crafting-recipe results are remapped. Blaze powder and eyes of ender keep their normal recipes so End progression remains possible.

Can I play Crafting Randomizer for free?

Yes. Crafting Randomizer is a free Sparkane challenge. Join play.sparkane.com, choose the preset in the lobby, and create your private server from it. You only need the web configurator if you want custom settings.

Does the recipe shuffle change during a run?

The assignments stay consistent for the whole run, so a recipe you discover can be reproduced. A new run gives you a new puzzle.

Play Crafting Randomizer online

You need Minecraft, but no extra mods or server hosting of your own.

How to join on Java & Bedrock

    Join Sparkane

    Connect to play.sparkane.com. We support 1.21.11 – 26.3 on Java. The “How to join on Java & Bedrock” guide covers both editions.

    Choose your challenge in the lobby

    Choose your challenge at the NPC in the lobby. You can play straight away with its preset rules. To change settings or combine challenges, open the browser settings from there.

    Start your server and invite friends

    Create your server and wait for it to be ready. Invite friends with /invite. Java and Bedrock players can play together.

  4. 4

    Start the timer and play

    Everyone ready? As the host, use /timer start. You can then break blocks and the challenge rules become active. Use /timer pause and /timer resume to take a break and continue your run.
