Example round

Find your best drop sources

Each block type gets a fixed replacement drop during the run. If dirt gives you something useful, you can keep using that source. Remember which blocks supply food, gear and the items you need for your goal.

Example drops. Each block type keeps the same drop during the run.

Example round: dirt drops gravel, and placed gravel drops bread when broken. You can then collect dirt, place the gravel and turn it into food. Your drop chain may be entirely different; no particular result is guaranteed.

The discoveries book lists five found block drops, including wildflowers to cactus.
The discoveries book shows which fixed drop you have already found for a block type.

02Look up your discoveries
Use /discoveries to look up block drops you have already discovered and search for useful sources. Mark important entries as personal favorites.Use the discovery journal
03Divide the search
Search in different places. Tell your team when a block has a useful drop.
04Think beyond the Overworld
Nether and End blocks unlock more possible drops when the obvious sources do not help.
