Island by island

The chests are your starting point

The Overworld is made of small themed islands above the void. Each has two accessible loot chests. The starting island supplies wood, dirt, saplings, water and lava for early farms and a cobblestone generator.

Other islands offer themed supplies and variable bonus loot. The Nether and End stay normal. To reach the End, find an empty portal altar and craft your own Eyes of Ender, including a trip through the Nether.

World generation decides which islands you find next.

Example round: you use starter supplies to build a safe bridge. The next island might have useful materials for a tool; there is no fixed first exploration island.

Save saplings, seeds and water for renewable farms instead of using everything at once.
02Make bridges safer
Add a railing or wider landing before your team carries supplies to the next island.
03Remember the portal altar
The welcome hint gives its coordinates. Eyes of Ender point to normal strongholds, not this altar.

What to know before building your first bridge.

Do I start with tools or Eyes of Ender?

No. Starter chests contain basic bridge and farm supplies, but no tools, Eyes of Ender, iron ingots or obsidian.

How do I find the End portal?

A welcome hint gives the coordinates of an empty portal altar. Craft your own Eyes of Ender and place them in its frames.

Are the Nether and End island worlds too?

No. The special island world replaces only the Overworld; Nether and End terrain remain normal.

Start your Chest Skyblock run

You need Minecraft, but no extra mods or server hosting of your own.

How to join on Java & Bedrock

    Join Sparkane

    Connect to play.sparkane.com. We support 1.21.11 – 26.3 on Java. The “How to join on Java & Bedrock” guide covers both editions.

    Choose your challenge in the lobby

    Choose the ready-made preset for your challenge at the NPC in the lobby. Its goal and rules are already set. To change them or combine challenges, open the optional web configurator.

    Start your server and invite friends

    Create your server from the preset or your custom configuration and wait for your server to be ready. Invite friends with /invite <Name>. Java and Bedrock players can play together.

    Start the timer and play

    Everyone ready? As the host, use /timer start. You can then break blocks and the challenge rules become active. Use /timer pause and /timer resume to take a break and continue your run.
