Which randomizer suits your group?

Would you rather discover reliable sources, solve recipes or hunt for fresh loot? On Sparkane, you choose which part of Minecraft becomes random.

Three rules, three ways to play

Here is how the randomizers differ with their default settings. Each detail page explains its rule and specifics.

Block Drop Randomizer

What changes?
Each block type receives a remapped drop when you break it.
Can you repeat a discovery?
Yes. The same block type gives the same drop throughout the run.
Choose this if …
… you want to explore and gather resources from the sources you discover.

Crafting Randomizer

What changes?
Familiar ingredients and arrangements produce different items. Blaze powder and eyes of ender keep their normal recipes.
Can you repeat a discovery?
Yes. A discovered recipe keeps its result throughout the run.
Choose this if …
… you know Minecraft recipes and want to find inexpensive ingredients for useful results together.

Mob Loot Randomizer

What changes?
Defeated mobs give random items instead of their usual loot.
Can you repeat a discovery?
Not reliably. The next mob rolls again, even if it is the same mob type.
Choose this if …
… you prefer hunting together, sharing loot and adapting to fresh results.

Turn random results into a shared plan

Block drops and crafting: split discovery from supply

  1. Divide the first tests: one person tests ground and building blocks while another tries wood and plants. For crafting, split recipe groups instead, so everyone does not spend the same ingredients.
  2. Check /discoveries for what your team has already found. Search for the result you need before committing rare ingredients or a long exploration trip.
  3. Once you find an inexpensive source of food or equipment, one person handles supply. The others search specifically for the items still missing for your goal.

Mob loot: collect rewards rather than memorizing mappings

A good drop does not make that mob type a reliable source. Split hunting, supplies and sorting loot instead. Collect the items for your goal together rather than treating one reward as a fixed drop rule.

One randomizer is enough for your first run. Try its rule before combining it with other challenges.

Start your private randomizer server

Connect to play.sparkane.com. You do not need to install mods or plugins yourself. Java and Bedrock players can play together; the play guide covers the connection steps for your device.

  1. The host picks a randomizer template at the personal-server NPC in the lobby and creates the server. Use the web configurator if you want to choose your own settings.
  2. Once the server is ready, the host joins and invites the others with /invite <Name>. When everyone is there, start with /timer start.

With a free host, your server supports up to 3 players and 1 challenge at a time. For more players or combinations, the host's limits apply.
